Could it be due to the fall of Man?

In our Sunday school class, we discussed the possibility that we once used 100% of our brain capacity. There is no way that Adam could have named every creature on the planet with only 10% of his brain in function.

They didn’t have to have faith in God, because He walked with them. Adam and Eve could see Him, speak with Him as I speak with someone in front of me. They did not hide because His glory was too much to comprehend, but they hid for shame. In the story of Moses, you find that he could not stand to look at God for His glory was too great to be comprehended by the feeble 10% brain of Moses.

Now, after the fall, we have to faith to know God is there…to listen to Him and talk with Him. We can’t just literally walk with God as we once did, we can only do it by faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

In church on Sunday I came to a shocking revelation while reading about the way God gave the city over to His people in the book of 2 Chronicles:

2 Chronicles 20:26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, to this day.

The Valley of Berachah … Berachah means Thank the Lord or Praise the Lord. Is it any coincidence that Barack Obama is now running for President and his name so closely resembles the name given to that valley? The spoils in the valley were so vast, that it took the men 3 days to gather all the plunder. Does this signify a prosperity after all that has transpired in recent years?

I am hopeful!!!

Next weekend is our annual PowWow. I am planning to attend at least one of those days, if not both. I went the year before last and am so glad to be able to go again this year. My son will remember more and more as the years go on. This year, I am hoping that he will be able to do a project about it for homeschool.

In a few years, he will be ready to get his name as I have received mine. This year’s powwow should be awesome, as always. I am so ready! Here is a slideshow from the last time we went:

A long time ago, in the beginning, the Creator gave to all people and to all things the Wisdom and the knowledge of how to live in harmony. Some tribes call these teachings the original Instructions, the original teachings, or the Great Laws. All of Nature still lives and survives according to these teachings. In modern times, human beings are searching for the Instructions. Many churches claim they have these Instructions. Where are these teachings? The Instructions are written in our hearts.

Great Spirit, today, whisper to me the secrets of
the original Instructions.
